Microsoft has made its resolve to get everyone to switch to Windows 10 that the company offered free upgrades since day one of the operating system’s availability until a year after. While the free upgrade ended for the general consumers, the offering still remains for those using Windows’ accessibility features. Microsoft has also recently expanded the free Windows 10 upgrade to consumers who have subscribed to its Cloud Solution Provider program.

That means you will now be able to upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 if you have paid for the Windows 10 Enterprise E3 and E5. Subscribers of the Secure Product Enterprise E3 and E5 can also take advantage of the offer.

The free upgrade offer is part of Microsoft’s effort to continue to push enterprise-grade security updates to Windows cloud subscribers. Windows cloud users can avail of the offer by signing in to the Office 365 Admin center using their Azure Active Directory admin credentials. They can then start the upgrade on their chosen device and also send the download link to others.

Nic Fillingham, small business product manager for Windows marketing, says in a blog post:

It is worth pointing out that the license Microsoft issues as part of the upgrade is permanent. That means your license remains in place even if you decide to stop your Windows cloud subscription in the CSP program.

“This is an important benefit addition to Windows cloud subscriptions in CSP as it enables customers who have yet to purchase a new Windows 10 device, or who missed out on the free upgrade to Windows 10 campaign, to take advantage of enterprise-grade security, managed by a trusted partner, for the price of coffee and a donut.”

If you’re a Windows cloud subscriber, you must have seen the download link in the Office 365 Admin center by now.
