Microsoft started rolling out a new update for the Windows 10 Store on Monday. The update is available for both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, and it brings some design changes to the Store.

Although the update was released for both platforms, many users report that they’re unable to download it in Windows 10. Some users say the an error pops up on install, while we didn’t even receive it. We hope Microsoft will fix things up for Windows 10 PCs, and make it possible for users of this platform to download the update. The update is available on all versions of Windows, so you don’t have to run Windows 10 Preview to be able to install the update.

However, users are able to install the update on Windows 10 Mobile without any problems. When you install the update, you’ll notice some design changes, most importantly, the re-designed Store Home. The new look of the Store now features hero images with featured apps, along with app sections below, including Top Apps, Top Games, Featured, and Collections.

Here’s how the revamped Windows 10 Store looks in Windows 10 Mobile:

We’ll continue trying to install the update on our computers, so we can provide you with more detailed info about changes. However, we believe that the update was actually same for Windows 10 as it is for Windows 10 Mobile, and that it brought app sections to the Windows 10 Store PC version.

In case you had more luck than us in installing the latest Store update on your PC, please let us know about your impressions, and what do you think about the Store’s new design. Is it now simpler to use? Tell us in the comments.
